Missing person located near Panorama by searchers
On Tuesday night (May 16), Columbia Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) was tasked by RCMP for a missing person at Panorama Mountain Resort.
A team of members responded and conducted a search with assistance from Panorama Safety Services and Panorama Fire Rescue.
Searching continued in the morning and the missing person was located in good health, outside of Panorama village by Panorama staff in the early morning hours, CVSAR reported.
“A huge thank you to everyone who helped in the searches. This was a huge team effort by RCMP, Panorama Mountain Fire Department, Glacier Helicopters Invermere and CVSAR. And a thank you to Cranbrook Search and Rescue, Kimberley Search and Rescue and Golden Search and Rescue for their mutual aid,” CVSAR noted on social media.
