Early morning fire strikes Radium Park Lodge
Early this morning (August 22) Regional District of East Kootenay’s (RDEK) Columbia Valley Firefighters and Invermere Fire Rescue provided mutual aid to support the Radium Hot Springs Fire Department in response to a fire at Radium Park Lodge.
East Kootenay Emergency Management Program, along with Emergency Support Services volunteers, have established a reception centre at the Radium Hot Springs Centre (4863 Stanley Street) to provide services to the individuals and their pets that have been affected by this fire.
The RDEK stated on social media it is grateful to have such dedicated and well-trained teams that can come together at times like this.
Anyone displaced by the fire who are not able to make it to the Reception Centre can register at ess.gov.bc.ca or call 250-489-9677 for assistance.
No other information concerning the fire has been released at this time.
