The Regional District of East Kootenay reports Emergency Support Services (ESS) reception centre for residents displaced by the Radium Park Lodge fire will be open again this evening at the Radium Hot Springs Centre (4863 Stanley Street).

Displaced residents can go to meet with volunteers there from 4 to 7 p.m. if they require an extension of services.

In-person attendance is encouraged, but if you are unable to attend in person, please contact 250-489-9677.

Those extending ESS supports should be aware that hotel accommodations in the area are limited and they may not be able to remain in the same accommodations.

The Radium Park Lodge fire occurred early in the morning August 22.
