Prestige Radium featured on The Price Is Right

The number one show in American daytime, CBS’ The Price Is Right, featured the Prestige Radium Hot Springs Resort as a prize in its Dec. 18 episode.

The prize package included a six-night stay at the Prestige Radium Hot Springs Resort, as well as a $100 dining credit to Conrad’s Kitchen and Grill, and passes to the Radium Hot Springs Pool. The prize was featured in the episode’s infamous Showcase Showdown round at the end of the episode, and was won by a very excited contestant, Jasmine, who hails from Piedmont, Oklahoma.

The hotel’s general manager Trevor Carr says it was a great opportunity that provides huge exposure to the town of Radium and to the property.

“When producers approached us to participate and sponsor the prize, we of course said yes. It’s such an iconic game show that is watched by millions of people around the world, and we’re so excited that the contestant actually won the prize. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to showcase our beautiful town and the surrounding area to her,” said Carr.

The game show is watched by more than 5.4 million Americans a day, in addition to its dedicated Canadian fans. The international exposure is considered to be beneficial to the town as well as to the Prestige property, which went through a major renovation in recent years.

“We can’t wait to show off our new property to this prize winner,” said Carr, adding, “and we’re certain that she will fall in love with the Radium area.”

It is not yet known when the winner will choose to claim the prize and travel to the area. Previous Prestige properties to be featured on the Price Is Right within the last year include their locations in Cranbrook, Kelowna, Nelson, and Prince George.
