Watering restrictions in effect for Radium
The Village of Radium Hot Springs has today initiated a Stage 2 watering restriction.
Unfortunately, due to continued high turbidity and high water demand, which are both causing stress on the village’s water treatment plant capacity, effective immediately a Stage 2 watering restriction is in effect per Water Use and Conservation Bylaw No. 487, 2023.
Outdoor watering of lawns, gardens, trees, landscaped areas and food plants is only permitted with a hand-held hose with an automatic shut off mechanism or hand-held canister as follows:
1. Even numbered civic addresses may water on even numbered calendar days between the hours of 6 to 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.to midnight; and
2. Odd numbered civic addresses may water on odd numbered calendar days between the hours of 6 to 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight.
The Spray Park will remain operational, for now, in order to provide residents and visitors with a cooling area.
All other outdoor use of water is prohibited.
