Sixth Hospice Butterfly Barn Dance Sept. 22
Celebrate the first day of autumn in the stunning Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Ski Lodge by taking part in the sixth annual Butterfly Barn Dance on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Presented by the Hospice Society of the Columbia Valley, the barn dance and barbecue roast beef dinner will feature, is a fundraiser for the charitable, not-for-profit organization that delivers three levels of programming to residents of the Columbia Valley from Canal Flats to Spillimacheen.
Programs include End of Life at home visitation, Bereavement Support Programs and Public Education Initiatives. The hospice’s office is located in Invermere in Frater Landing where they have a resource centre and lending library.
Once again this year the Barn Dance house band, Valley Forged, will be playing.
A complimentary shuttle to the lodge is available from the resort parking lot. Dinner will be a BBQ roast dinner, a vegetarian option is available (portobello mushroom burger) if you make note of it when you purchase your ticket, which costs $50 per/person.
