A teenager from Toronto is dead following a suspected hot tub drowning late yesterday afternoon near Golden.

On March 9, just before 5 p.m. Golden-Field RCMP Detachment was advised by the BC Ambulance Service that it was responding to a report of a possible drowning, in a hot tub, at a residence just outside Golden.

A 14 year-old male, from Toronto, Ontario was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

“At this time the death does not appear to be suspicious,” reported Cst. Spencer Lainchbury with the Golden-Field RCMP. “We will continue to assist the BC Coroner’s Service with their investigation.”
