A series of shoulder/embankment failures occurred on Westside Road around June 15, approximately five km south of Invermere, just south of the Goldie Creek crossing.

Westside road washout repair is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

There is a speed reduction to 50 km/h at the worksite, Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting reported.

“Westside Road is narrow in the repair sections; please obey all road signs and be cautious of oncoming traffic,” Mainroad asks.
