On Saturday, October 28, qualified electors within the ‘Windermere Community Water System Service Area’ will be voting to determine whether they wish the Regional District of East Kootenay to borrow up to $7,010,000, amortized over a maximum of 25 years, to purchase a water treatment plant and upgrade the Windermere water distribution system, and increase the maximum annual requisition for the service to $510,000 to pay for the debt costs associated with the borrowing.

Two advanced voting opportunities have already occurred on Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 26.

General Voting Day is Saturday, October 28 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce building at the crossroads.
