27th Garden Tour a stroll through masterpieces
The Cranbrook Garden’s Club’s 27th annual Open Garden Day July 13 featured seven unique and beautiful gardens and yards.
Each stop was different but common threads were evident, such as hard work fuelled by love and focus.
The time required to create these gardens and thematic yards can only be imagined by those lucky enough to be able to wander around and soak them in.
Some yards featured stellar views, precisely manicured flower and vegetable gardens, many married to the available landscape, water courses, country lanes and paths and living spaces blended in, inviting one to sit and ponder or idle over a morning cup of coffee.
Each location featured relevant and topical information stands, artisans and crafters and each site had friendly faces welcoming visitors, all conducted in a beautiful and hot July Sunday
This year’s tour featured the following gardeners:
Helena and Bill Barger; Mance and Paul Visentin; Joanne and Steve Weatherall; Chris and Gary Burke; Rick Ferrier and Corrine Holden; Jane Campbell and Layla Ewen; Debbie and Kelly Shaw.
Kudos to the Cranbrook Garden Club and all the volunteers and participating gardeners for another delightful tour around town.
