1. Transportation is a vital link within the health-care system. In an emergency, calling 911 provides you with direct access to all emergency service providers. Paramedics are well trained and highly dedicated public servants.

2. If you are taken to an acute care hospital (by ground or air ambulance) you will receive a bill for $80 from the BC Ambulance Service. This does not cover the full cost.
