33rd annual Community Christmas Dinner

For the past 32 years more than 400 people have been served a traditional holiday meal with all the trimmings, courtesy of Canadian Mental Health Association for the Kootenays and a long list of generous community partners.

Partners include: Regional District of East Kootenay; Falkins Insurance; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Royal Canadian Legion No 24 and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary; Cranbrook Search & Rescue; Cranbrook Bugle Band; Dairy Queen; Knight & Co; Cranbrook Dodge, McDonald’s and many more. Year after year volunteers and businesses contribute to make this community event a huge success; without them, this fun gathering would not be possible.

The event will include holiday music by the House of Hope choir and Pastor Reg Friesen and his band from Alliance Church. Santa tells us he can’t wait to attend again this year, and has promised to spread lots of joy and good cheer – especially when he is connecting with the kids.

Volunteer positions are full, but if you are interested in donating cash or gifts, please call Elaina or Laurie at 250-426-5222.

When: Thursday, December 20; Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. Santa arrives at 6:30 p.m.

Where:  Eagles Hall – 711 Kootenay St North, Cranbrook.
