54th Santa Claus Parade Nov. 29
JCl Kootenay is thrilled to announce the return of the 54th annual Cranbrook Santa Claus Parade, happening Saturday, November 29 at 5:30 p.m.
This cherished community tradition will once again bring holiday cheer to downtown Cranbrook.
New This Year: Rotary Park Light Up
Following the parade, join us at Rotary Park for the lighting of the Christmas decorations!
Celebrate the start of the holiday season with music, lights, and festive community spirit.
Supporting the Cranbrook Food Bank
This year, JCl Kootenay is proud to partner with the Cranbrook Food Bank in two exciting new ways to help support families in need during the holiday season.
- Reverse Advent Calendar
In the weeks leading up to the Santa Claus Parade, we’re launching a Reverse Advent Calendar in partnership with the Cranbrook Food Bank and Visit Cranbrook.
Here’s how it works: instead of receiving something each day, you give! Each day features a suggested item most in need at the Food Bank.
Simply donate the items on the list and drop them off at the Cranbrook Visitor Information Centre, located at 800C Baker Street, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit Cranbrook will serve as the central collection point and will coordinate delivery of donations to the Cranbrook Food Bank.
Prefer to give cash? No problem, the Visitor Centre will also accept cash, debit, and credit donations.
- “Loonie Drive” at the Parade
On parade day, bring your Loonie or Toonie and look for our volunteers carrying decorated donation buckets.
Before, during, and after the parade, they’ll be walking the route to collect small cash donations in support of the Cranbrook Food Bank.
Every coin counts; let’s fill those Loonie Buckets and help feed our community this holiday season.
We all know that food has the incredible power to bring people together, and during the holidays, having a special meal shouldn’t be at the bottom of anyone’s list. Through the Reverse Advent Calendar and Toonie Drive, we’re inviting everyone to join us in spreading warmth, kindness, and nourishment to our neighbours this holiday season.
“Fundraisers like this help ensure we can make everyone’s seasons bright all year long. Thank you, Cranbrook, and JCI, for your continued support of our mission of a hunger-free Cranbrook. We truly are by community, for community,” said Julie Rose, Executive Director Cranbrook Food Bank.
Parade Route and Registration
The parade will begin at Baker Street and 8th Avenue South, travel along Baker Street to 12th Avenue South, then loop back up 1st Street South to Rotary Park.
