A look at Turtle Day 2018
The Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program and Rocky Mountain Naturalists teamed up to recognize Turtle Day on Tuesday, April 24 at the Elizabeth Lake Visitor Centre in Cranbrook.
Biologists were on hand to teach children and people of all ages discover how this amazing creature has evolved and survives the winter. They learned about its life cycle and got a chance to be up close and personal with Western Painted Turtle hatchlings hours after emerging from their nests!
