An Evening to Remember
The Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society is hosting their third annual Evening to Remember, a fundraising and memory walk at Idlewild Park on Sunday May 5.
The event is aimed at anyone who wants to honour the memory of someone dear to them while helping the Hospice Society in its work. The society supports persons at the end of life and their families during and after the dying process.
This family event includes music, prizes, refreshments, and culminates with the release of bio-degradable balloons personalized with the names of departed loved ones.
Participants are asked to raise pledges in support of the Society’s work. Pledge sheets are available at the Hospice Office in the Cranbrook Health Unit, 20 – 23rd Ave. S. or phone 250-417-2019 and leave your email information.
Event registration begins at 6 p.m. at Idlewild Park and the walk around the lake begins at 7 p.m.
All pledge proceeds go directly to the operation of the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society, providing comfort to individuals living with a terminal illness and support to their loved ones. All the society’s services are provided by trained volunteers and without charge.
Come and join us as we remember those who have gone and support the ongoing work of the society.
