Anderson water main break significant

Update as per 1:27 p.m., Sept. 21… Water service to properties on Anderson Crescent has been restored following this morning’s water main break.

Due to a significant water main break, City of Cranbrook Public Works crews will be shutting off the water to all residents of Anderson Crescent and the Glen Livet apartments in Cranbrook this morning.

Staff is hopeful the main will be repaired and the water service restored turned by noon today, however that will depend on how serious the break is.

Once the water is turned back on, residents may notice dirty water coming from their taps. It is important to know that this discolouration is not a public health concern. Please simply run your cold-water tap until the water runs clear.

The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience this work is causing and appreciates the patience of all the residents affected.

If you have questions, please contact Public Works at 250-489-0218.
