Cranbrook Public Library
‘In Cranbrook,’ wrote Library board member Evah McKowan in 1931, “it is still the regular and fashionable thing for wives to go about with their own husbands and for young men to be sober at dances.” You can read this and other highly suspicious statements in ‘Who We Are: The 100 Years History of the Cranbrook Public Library.’
Full of historic photos and published by Wild Horse Creek Press, this book is now available for purchase at the library, Huckleberry Books, and The Columbia Basin Institute of Regional History. Priced at $20, all proceeds go to the library.
We have been fortunate receive video shout-outs from around the globe, including one or two local celebrities. These can be seen on our Facebook page.
As we enter the final month of the lLibrary’s 100th Anniversary, I would like to offer all my heartfelt thanks for everyone who celebrated with us. Your time and energy will not be forgotten. Here is the library’s next 100 years!
