Baker hoops squads start season strong
The Mount Baker Secondary School basketball teams got off to a great start this past weekend.
The Junior Girls (above) competed in the Silver Belle Junior Varsity tournament in Calgary and came in second.
The Senior Girls were also in Calgary at the District Four Invitational with 16 teams competing – they lost one game and won two (and got in a visit to Santa – see lead image).
We have two Senior Boys teams – one team was in Lethbridge (won one, lost two) and the other was in Red Deer playing against really tough central Alberta teams. They won two of their three games.
Teams travelling this week:
Senior Girls to Calgary (Senior Girls Cardinal Classic);
Junior Girls to Lethbridge (Cal O’Brien Classic Junior Basketball Tournament);
Junior Boys to Parkland Middle School;
Senior Boys to Cardston (Boys Cougar Classic).
