Carolling for the Salvation Army

Letter to the Editor

This year a few of us took part in the first Christmas Carolling in Cranbrook.

Our goal was to gather a group of enthusiastic singers and go from restaurant to restaurant in Cranbrook in the evening of December 23 and gather donations for the Salvation Army.

I’m happy to tell you that the inaugural evening was a great success, and the three of us were greeted enthusiastically at every stop along the route. This year we raised $655.57, and I will be contacting the Salvation Army to drop off the funds once they open after the holidays.

I would like to thank all the people of Cranbrook who donated, as well as all the businesses that felt the Christmas spirit and let us invade their evenings for a few quick carols.

Thanks again to:
Frank’s Steak & Schnitzel Haus;
KD Electric/Silverado Construction;
Boston Pizza;
East Side Mario’s;
Mr. Mikes SteakhouseCasual;
The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre;
Chevron;
Days inn;
Perry’s Pizza and Grill; (Video posted to their Facebook page)
Juniper Lanes;
Soulfood;
Sakura Sushi and Grill;
The Byng Hotel/Chadwick’s Pub;
Deweys Pub and Grill;
The Heid Out Restaurant and Brewhouse.
Merry Christmas!
