CCT presents Clue as season finale beginning April 19

Bob McCue

Cranbrook Community Theatre (CCT) is excited to bring you its final production of our 2023/2024 season, ‘Clue,’ based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn and written by Sandy Rustin.

With its clever plot twists, witty dialogue and unforgettable characters, Clue is a must-see for fans of the board game and lovers of suspenseful theatre.

The production stays true to the spirit of the original game while adding fresh and exciting twists that you won’t see coming.

Clue is directed by Bob McCue, whose vision and creative storytelling brought us The Odd Couple, Skin Flick, The Sunshine Boys, Steel Magnolias, Next, and Almost, Maine.

“Whether as an actor or director, I have always enjoyed the thrill of enticing people to laugh,” said McCue. “Our rehearsals have been filled with hilarity, and our talented cast and crew can’t wait to share this experience with you. Clue, with its fast pace and witty banter will either have you on the edge of your seats or rolling in the aisles.”

The elaborate set design by Landon Elliott will transport you to the lavish Tudor Mansion, and the lighting design by Stephanie Best promises to create an atmospheric and suspenseful ambiance. Sandy Kay is our incredible costume designer and Sandy Ashby is our fearless stage manager. Props will be provided by Rhonda Sheridan and Amanda Harwood.

The show stars Matt Van Boeyen as Wadsworth, Tessie Ward as Yvette, Stephanie Moore as Miss Scarlet, Erin Dalton as Mrs. Peacock, Shannon Edmonstone as Mrs. White, Alexander Gilmour as Colonel Mustard, Trevor Lundy as Professor Plum, and William Nicholson as Mr. Green.

Our incredible ensemble consists of Sanjay Fisk, Nikki Van Boeyen, Michael Prestwich, and Sean Cloarec.

Tickets are available online beginning March 11 at www.cranbrookcommunitytheatre.com

Show dates are April 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28 and May 1- 4.

All show times are 7:30 p.m. except for April 28, which is a matinee beginning at 2 p.m.

Cranbrook Community Theatre is grateful to our season sponsor, Mike Paugh, IG Wealth Management, our show sponsor, Victoria Avenue Dental, and for support from The Jensen Family Foundation and the Sunrise Rotary Club of Cranbrook.

CCT’s 2023/2024 season is possible through grants from the BC Community Gaming Program and the City of Cranbrook.
