CFES respond to overnight structure fire
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services’ (CFES) A-Shift received a call for a structure fire at the 100 block of 14th Ave. S last night (Sept. 8).
Four members on shift responded with two apparatus with an additional 16 responding from home.
No one was home when fire crews arrived. No injuries to homeowners or fire fighters, CFES reported.
“Heavy smoke and fire in attic area of home was visible, fire was contained to the house that was involved.”
Crews remained on scene throughout the night.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. Officials want to thank all other agencies that responded and assisted with the incident,” CFES said.
