Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services are responding to a structure fire at the Travellodge between Ridgeview Road and the strip this morning.

No further details are known at this time.

The public is asked to please avoid the area to allow our firefighters to work safely. Nearby restaurants and businesses will experience dirty water as hydrants are being used.

Firefighters began mopping up and departing the scene by about 9:30 a.m.

The City of Cranbrook will share more information later today.
