Cranbrook RCMP arrested a local man after a traffic stop last week.

On Monday of last week, two Cranbrook RCMP officers were patrolling the city when they pulled over a vehicle. After initial investigation the male passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was searched on scene and was found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon as well as a quantity of drugs.

RCMP remanded into custody 32-year-old Daniel Edward McMillan, who will appear before the courts next on January 31.

Charges include breaching conditions as well as possession of a prohibited weapon, reported Cst. Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
