Charges pending for illegally killed buck

bc-conservation-officer-service-logoOn September 16, Cranbrook-based B.C. Conservation Officer Service COs responded to a complaint of a dead deer in a residential area.

COs investigated the complaint and determined the buck was illegally killed by a crossbow at night, from a vehicle and in a closed area.

COs were able to identify two male suspects and charges are now pending.

Poaching and other environmental violations can be reported 24/7 to the COS hotline – 1-877-952-RAPP (7277).
