The first ever cupcake eating championship, held at the break of last Saturday’s Sam Steele Days Strongman Competition, saw Cranbrook resident Chris Nault narrowly defeat City of Cranbrook Mayor Wayne Stetski (pictured above) by one small, eeny-weeny cupcake.

Also in on the cupcake frenzy were Cranbrook residents

Patricia Whalen (Kootenay Child Development Centre) and Chamber of Commerce president Lana Kirk.
