Turtle Day is being observed Tuesday, April 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Elizabeth Lake Visitor Centre in Cranbrook.

Talk to biologists and discover how this amazing creature has evolved and survives the winter. Learn about its life cycle and get a chance to be up close and personal with Western Painted Turtle hatchlings hours after emerging from their nests! Learn more about the projects FWCP funds to support these at-risk turtles.

The Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program is hosting this free event together with the Rocky Mountain Naturalists.
