Computers available for Cranbrook families

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Kootenay Computer and the Salvation Army, has a computer donation program providing refurbished equipment to those who need a computer. A large number of computers are ready to go and looking for a new home.
“We are working to bridge the digital divide and ensure that everyone in Cranbrook who needs a computer has one,” said Kootenay Computer’s Sebastiaan van der Horst. “A computer and online access is no longer a luxury. It is essential for school work and to have a fully functioning household.”
The Computer Donation Program has collected a significant number of computers and flat screen monitors from Chamber members and the community. Kootenay Computer has completed a total refurbishment to like new with up to date operating systems, software and virus protection.
The Computer Donation Program has partnered with the Salvation Army to match families with the equipment. If you would like to avail yourself of this program and receive a computer, please contact Nancy at the Salvation Army at 250 426-3612.
