Letter to the Editor
Cranbrook and District Community Foundation (CDCF) would like to express deep sadness for the loss of Connor Stewart, a wonderful individual who helped the community achieve many great accomplishments.
We are sincerely grateful to Connor Stewart for his many commitments to the community of Cranbrook.
Connor volunteered his time and energy to the CDCF board of directors from 2006 – 2014. In his role as Chair of the promotions committee he was always looking to assist in building the Foundation’s capacity and efficiencies. Connor brought resourcefulness and energy to everything he worked on.
Connor gave back to the community through many volunteer organizations and initiatives. He spearheaded the Staples Backpack Program that donated school supplies to local children, ensuring every young person in our community had the tools to succeed at school.
His warm smile and infectious energy will be missed by many people in the East Kootenay and beyond.
