Controlled drugs and substances seized during search

On January 15, the Cranbrook RCMP General Investigation Section executed a search warrant on a residence in the 2000 Block of 4th Street S. During the execution of this search warrant, suspected controlled drugs and substances were seized as well as several property items recovered that are believed to have been stolen.

As property is identified, police will make attempts to locate the owners. Several individuals were arrested from inside of the residence and later released. The file is still currently under investigation, Cranbrook RCMP reported this morning.

“Cranbrook RCMP recognize that property theft is unfortunately currently all too common in our community, and while we continue to make proactive efforts it is very important that people/businesses take the time to secure their property, engrave, or mark their property in a way that they know it is theirs, as well as documenting any model and serial numbers,” RCMP noted in a media release.

“Another helpful tip is to provide police with itemized lists of the property stolen so that the list is fulsome, and can be properly tracked as stolen. By doing this, it makes it easier to determine if items are stolen if they are located, and to return them to the rightful owners.”
