Councillors announce they’re seeking re-election
Two current City of Cranbrook councillors last night announced they will be running for office again in the Oct. 19 municipal election.
Danielle Eaton and Wes Graham informed a packed council chambers July 16 that they will seek another four-year term.
Graham went first, using his final words of the meeting to announce he will seek a second term. And Eaton followed.
She later stated on Facebook: “I really care about what I do. I love our community and our residents. I have three children who I want to love this community the way I do. I feel like we accomplished a lot in four years and I don’t feel we are done. Now there are of course times where my role makes me feel like I have an ulcer. The idea of campaigning especially gives me the worst anxiety. So there’s a good chance I’ll be recruiting a team this time around. I’ll do a roll call in September.”
Cranbrook Mayor Lee Pratt announced last month that he will be seeking re-election this fall.
