Cranbrook Arts celebrates ‘In the Spirit of Giving’
Pop in tonight during the parade festivities
‘In the Spirit of Giving’ is the theme for Cranbrook Arts November and December Show.
Cranbrook Arts invite you to celebrate the season with local art. The gallery at 1013 Baker Street is extremely proud to be displaying work from many of our local artists, more than ever before in fact. Not only is the gallery well stocked with paintings and photography but felted wool, wood products, jewelry and pottery also adorn the shelves.
Our featured artists for the months of November and December are Sharon and Joseph Cross. Sharon makes gem stone glycerin soaps, which are not only practical but fun to look at. Joseph’s work is well known internationally and especially in Canada. International Artist Magazine published several feature articles on his work. It’s been Joseph’s good fortune to have placed very well in international competitions. He has exhibited in galleries in Australia, Grand Cayman Island, Oregon, Arizona, Idaho, Quebec, Alberta, and BC. Joseph currently sits on the BC Arts Council board, and the CoTR University Studies, Fine Arts, Humanities & Social Science Program Advisory Committee.
The Gallery will be open ‘til 8:30 p.m. on the evening of November 25 to help celebrate the Santa Claus Parade and Light Up and for the next few Fridays and Saturdays only, you may be lucky in finding a bargain priced piece of Twice Loved Art in our Weekend Kitchen Sale.
Whether shopping or just wanting to admire the creativity of our local artists we hope you will be able to stop by in the next few weeks.
