Happy birthday Canada and thanks Gord Felske!

Cranbrook residents and visitors were treated to an explosive bit of fun last night (July 1) when the city hosted a firework’s display above Moir Park, part of a day-long celebration in the Key City.

While the city did its part in staging the celebration, the fireworks would not have happened without the volunteer fundraising efforts by city resident Gord Felske, who raised $3,000 to go toward fireworks.

So here’s to Canada, our home and native land, and here’s to Mr. Felske – an example of a great Canadian!
