Cranbrook Farmer’s Market welcoming new manager

The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market is stoked to introduce its new manager, Jessica Kazemi.

Passionate about the connection between food and community, Jessica brings experience in many facets of food security ranging from operating a local organic food delivery business to running a weekly community supper program.

She is a lifelong supporter of farmers markets and as a maker and small business owner she is appreciative of the hardworking farmers, small businesses and makers in our community.

Keeping in the spirit of the last 11 years of the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market, she is excited to continue to add new and diverse vendors, as well as showcase our amazing Kootenay culture and community. When she is not at the farmers market, Jessica can be found hanging out with her family, reading, enjoying the outdoors, canning something or treasure hunting at the local thrift stores.

Jessica will be working together with outgoing manager Livia Lara during the month of May, continuing training and planning modified markets.

“We are aiming to organize two spring outdoor markets: May 30 and June 13, and then kick-off the summer season on June 27. Stay tuned,” Lara noted in a letter to media introducing Jessica.
