Cranbrook Quilters Guild launching virtual history

The Cranbrook Quilters Guild has launched an exciting and important project to create a virtual history of the Cranbrook Quilters Guild.  The project is, in part, funded by the Heritage BC – Legacy Grant Program and is in partnership with our local Columbia Basin Institute of Regional History.

The Registration process provides the background information, history and photographs for the Virtual History of the Cranbrook Quilters Guild presentation.  This slide show presentation will be available starting in December 2025 on our website.

Two Quilt Documentation and Registration dates have been completed and there are three additional documentation days:  Saturdays, March 15, April 12 and May 31 with the possibility of a fourth day June 21 if needed.

Cost to register the history of each quilt and photographic image for our website is $10.

Registration days take place at Cranbrook Seniors Hall.  This project is important as it ensures that this artful and practical tradition is permanently preserved.

If you are a member of the Guild or know of someone who used to be a member, who might be interested please contact Susan Little at [email protected] or call 250-426-7223.

For out-of-town quilters, the interview can be done on Zoom, FaceTime or Google meet, and a photo can be sent electronically.
