Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) June 4 to 6 a.m., June 11.
Police handled 199 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Four impaired driving: (alcohol).
Two collisions in the city: An offending driver charged in one incident.
One collisions outside the city: property damage.
20 driving complaints: nine in the city and 11 on the highway.
Two assaults: Parties known to each other in each event.
Nine Mental Health Act related calls: Two apprehension/ three assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
15 thefts: Including four shoplifting; seven theft from auto – most related to a series where one male was arrested and several items of stolen property were recovered and are in the process of being returned to owners. Three theft other, including a purse taken from local fast food restaurant; tools stolen from job site, Milwaukee 12 V cordless tools and internal theft. And one theft of a bicycle:
One damage to property: damage to vehicle.
Three drug seizures: marijuana and cocaine.
18 false alarms and false 911 calls.
