Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls reported to Cranbrook RCMP for the period between 6 a.m. Oct. 1 to Oct. 8, at 6 a.m.
Calls for Service: 127
One impaired driving: alcohol.
Five collisions outside the city: Two with wild life; other collisions were minor in nature, none or minor injuries reported in all.
13 driving complaints: One in the city and 12 outside the city.
One hit and run: A parked car sideswiped; damage along driver side of vehicle.
Four assaults: Domestic assault; familial assault; one assault where subjects are known to each other; and one assault occurred at a school.
Eight Mental Health Act related calls: One assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Five thefts.
One shoplifting.
Three thefts other: A 25-foot trailer frame taken from rural area; items stolen from donation bin at BFM; theft of logs from Wycliffe.
One theft of bicycle.
Three break and enters to business: attempted B&E to local downtown business, no entry was gained.
One break and enter to residence: false report.
Three damage to property: Including graffiti at Elizabeth Lake; vehicle keyed while in Superstore parking lot; argument between family members that led to broken possessions.
One drug seizures: marijuana.
16 false alarms and false 911 calls.
