Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls reported to Cranbrook RCMP for the period between 6 a.m. Nov. 26 to Dec. 3, at 6 a.m.
Calls for Service: 125
Three impaired Driving: Three 90 Day IRPs; one Care and Control by Drug.
Five collisions in the city: all minor in nature.
Three collisions outside the city: Including one logging truck lost its trailer in Moyie; luckily no injuries.
13 driving Complaints: 10 in the city and three outside the city.
One hit and run: A vehicle believed to be hit by a private snow plow, resulting in minor damage.
Two assaults: Including a domestic assault and assault on store security by a shoplifting suspect during arrest.
Six thefts.
One shoplifting.
One theft from auto: A backpack was taken from a vehicle where the suspect was tracked by a detachment member in fresh snow, located and arrested.
One theft other: A report of theft of chainsaw from a carport.
Three damage to property: Including two vehicle windows smashed (no entry). Windows of an office trailer were also smashed by possible pellet gun.
Six false alarms and false 911 calls.
