Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls reported to Cranbrook RCMP for the period between 12 p.m. Dec. 3 to Dec. 9, at 12 a.m.

Calls for Service: 127

One impaired driving:    One 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition – Refusal to Provide Sample. (Multiple Counter Attack Roadblocks were conducted.)

Three collisions in the city: All minor in nature.

Five collisions outside the city: Three were collisions with animals – all minor in nature.

10 Driving complaints: Four in the city and six outside the city.

Three hit and run: All in town; one to a fence and vehicle not located, one to another vehicle and driver located and charged, and one was minor – a parking lot scuff.

Three assaults: Two domestic assaults and one other.

Three thefts.

One shoplifting.

One theft from auto: Theft of a tailgate from a Ford truck.

One theft other: Theft Over $5,000 of tools from a construction trailer in the 700 block of 8th Street South. (Police are seeking info from public to help solve this theft.)

One mischief to property: A house was egged.

12 false alarms and false 911 calls.
