Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Sept. 5 to 6 a.m., Sept. 12.
The detachment received 128 calls for service throughout that period.
Among the calls police handled…
Three impaired drivers – all alcohol.
Three collisions – all in town, driver charged in one of the accidents.
Five Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended.
Seven assault complaints: two Domestic in nature; one person charged in one of the incidents, the other matter is still under investigation. Of the other five incidents: one person charged in a minor incident and four charged in a more serious incident (reported last week).
11 thefts reported: eight shoplifting/ one theft of a license plate / theft of a truck and trailer which was later recovered after being discovered overturned on a rural road; matter is still under investigation.
One break and enter reported: businesses in the industrial area…matter still under investigation.
One report of property damage: suspect identified and charges forthcoming.
14 false alarms/ false 911 complaints.
One person arrested for intoxication in public place.
