Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Jan. 30 to 6 a.m., Feb. 6.
Police handled 122 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Two impaired drivers – alcohol.
Six collisions: Three in town/ three outside of town…no major injuries, mostly property damage.
Four Hit and Runs: in three of those hit and runs, suspects were identified and are facing charges under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Nine Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended/ four assistance to East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Seven assault complaints: two were domestic in nature.
Four thefts reported: three shoplifting; one theft committed by a family member of complainant.
One break and enter to residences: no theft; domestic issue.
