Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Feb. 20 to 6 a.m., Feb. 27.

Police handled 118 calls for service throughout this week.

Among the calls police handled…

Two Impaired driving charges (one 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and one three-day IRP).

Five motor vehicle collisions: three collisions and two hit and runs – all minor in nature.

17 Mental Health Act related calls: One apprehension under the Mental Health Act / three assistance to hospital.

One assault: minor in nature.

Six thefts: All shoplifting.

One break and enter to a business – no reported theft.

Four property damage/mischief.

Seven false alarms/false 911.

Two intoxicated in a public place.

Two causing a disturbance/breach of peace.

Two suspicious vehicle/persons occurrences.

Four unspecified assistance.

One fraud.

Three drug seizures including a significant marijuana grow operation/seizure.
