Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) April 3 to 6 a.m., April 10.
Police handled 132 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver; drugs.
Six collisions – three in town and three outside of town. Minor damage and/or minor injuries.
One hit and run in the East Kootenay Regional Hospital parking lot.
6 Mental Health Act calls – none apprehended.
Four assault complaints: one domestic in nature where a person was arrested. Two persons charged in other assaults.
10 thefts reported: five shoplifting; one theft of a motor vehicle reported but unfounded; four other theft reports include two unfounded, one theft of two chainsaws from open garage or carport and one theft from a care facility.
One report of property damage in town where a vehicle window was damaged.
One drug seizure – marijuana.
20 false alarms/ false 911 complaints.
