Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) August 21 to 6 a.m., August 28.
Police handled 179 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver / 90 day prohibition plus one three day prohibition.
Three collisions – two in town, one outside of town (no injuries).
One hit and run – Violation ticket issued (fines totalling over $1,000).
Four Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended and returned to the hospital.
Six assault complaints: two domestic in nature, one of which was assault with a knife where
charges will be proposed for threats and firearms offences.
16 Thefts reported including: two shoplifting; 10 thefts from vehicles (some historical reports based on last week’s developments); one recovered stolen vehicle from Invermere.
10 reports of property damage: including two incidents of random vehicle damage.
One drug seizure.
