Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Dec. 18 to 6 a.m., Dec. 25.
Police handled 133 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Two – Impaired driving: alcohol.
Six – collisions in the city.
13 – Collisions outside the city. Collisions were mostly related to weather conditions and/or poor driving. Mostly property damage and some minor injury.
Three hit and run: no injuries and minor property damage.
Three assaults: two domestic in nature; arrests made in all three incidents and suspects facing criminal charges.
15 Mental Health Act related calls: four apprehended.
Two shoplifting incidents.
One theft from auto: one rear license plate stolen.
Two thefts other: Copper and aluminum left outside from local business and a couple of males tried to take off with bar stools from a local establishment. They were caught and returned the stools.
One break and enter to business: yard broken into and thieves stole copper and pipe fittings.
One break and enter other: Break-in to a shed where nothing was stolen. Suspect likely slept in the vehicle inside the shed.
One drug seizure: marijuana – no charges.
