The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Jan. 15 to 6 a.m., Jan. 22.
Police handled 121 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Seven collisions in the city: five in the city and two outside the city.
Five assaults, including two that were domestic in nature.
Eight Mental Health Act related calls: one apprehension / one assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Nine thefts;
Three shoplifting;
One theft of an auto.
One theft other: a backpack leaf blower was stolen from behind a local business.
Five damage to property.
32 false alarms and false 911 calls.
