Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Feb. 5 to 6 a.m., Feb. 12.
Police handled 138 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Two impaired driving: alcohol.
One collision in the city – minor injury and/or property damage.
One collision outside the city: one driver charged for failing to yield.
One hit and run: parking lot hit and run, minor damage.
Four assaults: two domestic reports and two assaults where victim and suspect knew each other. none to minor injuries incurred.
Nine Mental Health Act related calls: three apprehensions/four assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Six thefts.
Two theft from auto, including theft of front and rear plate and theft of purse.
Two theft of auto: one vehicle located with different plate on it and one vehicle taken without owner’s consent, where the vehicle was returned later the next day.
Two theft other: partiers stole electronics from a residence/attempted theft of bottles from porch.
One break and enter to residence: unfounded as a tradesman was working in a house.
One break and enter other: a dirt bike taken from unlocked shed. The dirt bike was recovered by owner nearby.
Six damage to property: damage to three vehicles/door in a house damaged by drunk occupant/ bathroom wall spray painted at Memorial Arena/ prisoner damaging detachment property.
Two drug seizures.
14 false alarms and false 911 calls.
