Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Feb. 12 to 6 a.m., Feb. 19.

Police handled 128 calls for service throughout this week.

Among the calls police handled…

Two collisions in the city: one a minor parking lot collision and one collision was unfounded.

Three collisions outside the city: minor injury and/ or collision damage.

One hit and run: Suspect was located and charged for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

Two assaults: one domestic report and one assault between acquaintances.

Two Mental Health Act related calls.

Seven thefts: Two shoplifting; three thefts from an auto (two thefts of rear B.C. licence plates/ one unfounded complaint); theft of an auto, which was a ‘take motor vehicle without consent’; and one other theft (metal target stands from local rod and gun club).

One break and enter other: an attempt from a shed in rural area.

One drug seizure.

20 false alarms and false 911 calls.
