Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Feb. 19 to 6 a.m., Feb. 26.
Police handled 115 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Three impaired driving: (alcohol).
Three collisions in the city: minor in nature but one resulted in a roadside prohibition due to the driver being impaired by alcohol and one resulted in the driver being charged for speeding relative to conditions.
Two collisions outside the city: minor injury and/ or collision damage; drivers charged in both instances for speeding relative to conditions.
One hit and run occurred in parking lot and is still under investigation.
Four assaults: three domestic reports and one assault of a police officer.
Six Mental Health Act related calls: two assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Two thefts.
Two shoplifting incidents.
Three damage to property incidents.
One drug seizures: marijuana.
One drug trafficking.
10 false alarms and false 911 calls.
