Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) March 12 to 6 a.m., March 19.
Police handled 140 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Five impaired driving: (alcohol).
One collision outside the city: a vehicle hit deer.
Two hit and runs: damage to parked vehicles.
Six assaults: three domestic reports that resulted in charges; two assaults by family members where both resulted in arrests; and one fight between acquaintances that resulted in an arrest.
Eight Mental Health Act related calls: one apprehension.
Eight thefts.
One shoplifting.
Five thefts from autos, including theft of loose change and a back pack with hiking boots and headphones; all the vehicles were left unlocked.
Two theft other: item recovered in one incident by complainant and the other allegation was unfounded.
One break and enter other: an attempted B&E into a school.
Three damage to property, including a tire slashed, mischief to business door and damage to property during a family dispute.
17 false alarms and false 911 calls.
