Cranbrook Rotary returning to Heart of the Community
The Rotary Club of Cranbrook raised $48,000 from the 2020 Heart of the Community Valentine’s Day event.
That money went toward such community causes as a new children’s zipline and paved Ridge Trail at Idlewild Park, the expansion of Rotary Way and helping feed 450 seniors during the annual Columbo Lodge Christmas Dinner.
And the club wants to take that inaugural event and turn it into an annual, with the aim of raising money for its 2022 Rotary Centennial Project – Moir Park Trail.
To that end, the club is reaching out to the community to again help it in the second annual Heart of the Community Valentine’s Dinner and Auction, scheduled for February 11 (2022) at the Royal Alexandra Hall.
The club is seeking sponsors and donations, and is also selling tickets to the Roaring Twenties event, featuring musical performances and wonderful food and wine pairings.
